Pale Snail

 

This snail is quite pale compared to other snails I have seen.

Shield Bug

 

From what I can find on Google, I think this is a Shield Bug or Shield Beetle. It has lovely colourings and patterns.

White Ermine Moth

 

This is a White Ermine Moth, isn't it a pretty one :-)

Grey Squirrel

 

We stood and watched this squirrel for about 10 minutes. He is quite a big one!

Baby Snail

This is a baby snail, it is so tiny but cute! There are a lot of baby snails just now.

A Strange Pair!

 

Here we have a snail and a Ladybird. Some countries they call the Ladybirds "Ladybugs" instead. I thought this was interesting to see them both together. You can see show small the Ladybird is!

Happy Crow

 

Feeding another crow. This is a regular now and he follows us!

Axe Or Branch

 

This branch looks a lot like an axe, I think!

From Tadpole To Frog

 

The tadpoles are out of the water now and slowing turning into frogs. It is so tiny and so cute!

My Friend the Damselfly

 

This is one of my new friends, a common blue Damselfly.

Crows Crossing The Stream

 

I spotted these crows shuffling along this fallen tree, they were trying to cross the river. I couldn't understand why they didn't fly over. As they reached they end, they did. So I was glad to know they were okay.

Litter Picking

 

Sadly, in Scotland, a lot of people do not know how to use a bin and dump their rubbish anywhere. On my walks I often do litter picking. This is a bag from a few weeks ago. Sadly it contained a lot of broken glass which is dangerous to the wildlife. Please use bins or take your rubbish home.

My Friend the Crow

 

We always feed the crows on our walks and a lot of them have started to follow us! They are such interesting and intelligent birds.

Spider on Oxeye Daisy

 

I spotted this spider on an Oxeye Daisy.

Ducks and Geese Friends

 

Ducks and geese can be friends! Lovely :-D

Canada Goose

 

We also met this goose! Isn't it lovely :-D

Male Mallard

 

It is no secret that I am obsessed with ducks! I made friends with this male Mallard while away. Isn't he so cute. His friend at the back was a little shy!

We met this snail on our walk. It was very happy and friendly!

This Flower Is Alone

 

This pretty flower is all alone. No friends for company.

Baby Geese Everywhere

 

I managed to get close to these goslings. I was feeding them my usual birds seeds and they loved it! they were so cute and felt good to get this close to them :-)

Snail After The Rain

 

I really like snails. They are such interesting and wonderful creatures. I love to see the different patterns and colours they have on their shells. This little fellow was happy to go across the path. After I took the photo, I helped him over to the other side. If I see snails on the paths I always put them into the grass or the woods. Nothing worse than seeing a squashed snail :-(

Oyster Mushrooms

A lovely mushroom risotto.

I am learning more and more each week about mushrooms. I was lucky to stumble upon these Oyster mushrooms. I eat them a lot and they can be very expensive in the shops. So was glad to find these. 

I always double check the mushroom online with some research and also check what it can be confused with. I end up spending half hour or more looking at the photos just to make sure! My advise if you are picking mushrooms, do your research and if you are unsure don't take the risk!

Also make sure you leave a few behind, so they can regrow! Don't be greedy, don't take them all.

Lots of Tadpoles

 

There are plenty of tadpoles so let's hope we get plenty of frogs and toads. I really like both frogs and toads, they are amazing little creatures :-D

2 Friendly Robins

 

These 2 Robins appeared when we were feeding the birds. They let me get really close and I managed to get a good photo.

Cinnabar Moth

 

At first I thought this was a butterfly but further research told me it is a Cinnabar Moth! I spent about 10 minutes or more chasing it for a good photo, but only managed to get it at rest. It is a beautiful creature :-D
