Tiny Ladybird

This little ladybird is so tiny, but you can see the legs! I think it is very cute and love ladybirds. Sadly they are in trouble in Scotland and their numbers are really low each year :-(

Tortoiseshell Butterfly

Isn't this butterfly gorgeous. In the first photo it has a friend, a hoverfly I think. It changed position for the second photo!

A Curious Crow

At first the crow isn't interesting but after a short time it is looking at me. I told it not to worry, that I am a friend and would feed him! I think a few times after this he did come down from the branch looking for seeds! I am happy making friends with the crows.

The baby coots are still doing really well and you can see mother duck at the bottom of the photo. Both coot parents are in this photo along with 2 of the babies.

Saving This Bee

This bee wasn't doing very well. So I picked it up and it crawled around my hand and arm! I managed to get it to a flower and it was better again. It must have needed some nectar! You can see my arm is covered in moles and freckles...I need to be careful in the sun. I have no fear picking and holding bees but I would never hold a wasp!

Another Frog

Another baby frog. I have been saving them from paths and putting them into the grassy areas.
